Todi former bank headquarters to become luxury hotel

The former headquarters of Banca Popolare di Todi, located in the central Piazza del Popolo, is set to be converted into a luxury hotel. The project, presented by the Balestra family's company which acquired the building from Intesa Sanpaolo two years ago, has received approval from the municipal building commission without prescriptions.

The renovation will involve approximately 2,000 square meters of space spread across four floors. While the interior will be completely redesigned to accommodate high-end suites, the 19th-century exterior facade will undergo targeted restoration to preserve its original architectural appearance.

Todi Mayor Antonino Ruggiano stated that the new high-quality hospitality structure will complement the city's growing tourism sector, particularly catering to international visitors. Preliminary work is expected to begin in the autumn.
