Todoque family returns home five years after Tajogaite eruption

The Carballo Gómez family has returned to Todoque five years after the Tajogaite volcanic eruption destroyed their home. After 27 months of intensive labor and personal sacrifice, the family successfully rebuilt the house for the elderly parents, Maura and Felipe.

One of the five siblings, Ricardo, highlighted the significant efforts made by his brother, Pipe, who focused his resources on reconstructing the parents' home despite having lost his own property nearby. The return marks the culmination of a long process to restore the family's roots in the area affected by the volcano.
