Toei Animation launches staff-led short animation project

Toei Animation has launched a new original short animation project titled ‘[Pro,Pro,Pro!!]’. The initiative is driven by staff members at the company’s Oizumi Studio, who propose and select their own creative ideas for production. The project aims to foster a creative environment where both junior and veteran staff can experiment with diverse expressions.

The second installment of the project, a 120-second short film titled ‘Tankenka-tachi’ (Explorers), was released on YouTube on September 14. The story follows two youths, Kaito and Rei, who are interested in space; Kaito is selected as an astronaut while Rei joins a rescue team after being rejected. This follows the project’s first release, ‘Mugen ∞ Anime’.

Future installments are currently in development and will be released periodically via the Toei Animation Museum official YouTube channel.
