Toei brings 146 Kamen Rider titles to Amazon Prime Video
Toei has launched a massive streaming expansion on Amazon Prime Video, making 146 Kamen Rider titles available to Prime members at no additional cost. The lineup includes all television series from the original 1971 debut through 2022’s ‘Kamen Rider Geats,’ with the latter arriving on September 1.
The collection also features a vast array of theatrical films, TV specials, and V-Cinema releases, including several titles previously exclusive to the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club (TTFC).
Historical retrospective analysis of the franchise highlights the unique challenges and creative scales of past crossover films. For example, the 1974 film ‘Five Riders vs. King Dark’ featured a global scale where heroes were stationed in cities like New York, Paris, and Moscow. Other productions, such as the 1980 film ‘8 Riders vs. Ginga-oh’ and the 1984 TV special ‘10th Anniversary! Kamen Rider All Together!!’, showcase the evolution of the series and the logistical complexities of managing large ensembles of characters.
