Toei expands PROJECT R.E.D. series with Omega Horn

Toei is expanding its PROJECT R.E.D. tokusatsu series with the second installment, “Horn Awakening Hunter Omega Horn.” Following the conclusion of the first series, “Chou Gavan Infinity,” producer Reito Kuji explained that the project aims to establish a diverse field of heroes that can eventually crossover. Unlike the first series, which rebooted existing intellectual property, “Omega Horn” is a completely new IP focusing on the bond between humans called “Hunters” and giant lifeforms known as “Kakujuu.”

In the fifth episode of “Omega Horn,” the protagonist Shout Honoo and his companion Enkaku search for a mysterious flying creature that does not appear in existing encyclopedias. The series features a unique concept where hunters use megaphone-like devices called “Kakuseiki” to harness the power of these creatures. The production team emphasized a desire to differentiate the visual style from previous series, specifically proposing four-legged creature designs to provide variety alongside traditional transforming robots.
