Tofaş launches $300 million K9 production project in Bursa

Stellantis and Koç Holding have officially launched the K9 production project at the Tofaş factory in Bursa, Turkey. The $300 million investment marks the return of the Fiat Doblò to the region after a three-year hiatus.

The new production line is designed to manufacture five different light commercial vehicle models under various Stellantis brands, including the Fiat Doblò, Citroën Berlingo, Opel Combo, Peugeot Partner, and Peugeot Rifter. The project aims for an annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles, with plans to reach a total of 660,000 units by 2034.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır attended the ceremony, noting that the project is expected to create approximately 1,000 new jobs and involve nearly 100 local suppliers. The facility is also equipped to support the future production of fully electric light commercial vehicles. Approximately 20 percent of the produced vehicles are intended for export.
