Tofaş produces 7.5 millionth vehicle at Bursa factory

Tofaş has reached a major production milestone at its Bursa factory, manufacturing its 7.5 millionth vehicle, a Fiat Ulysse. Since beginning mass production in 1971, the company has grown from an initial annual capacity of 20,000 vehicles and 600 employees to a current capacity of 500,000 units per year.

The company’s production history includes several notable milestones, such as the Fiat Tempra (1 millionth), Fiat Fiorino (3rd and 4th million), and various Fiat Egea models. Tofaş CEO Cengiz Eroldu stated that the company is entering a new era of growth, focusing on multi-brand production and expanding its role within the Stellantis group.

Future strategic goals include the K0 and K9 projects, with the K0 project expected to resume exports to the North American market by early 2027.
