Tofu Mama drama hits peak ratings of 3.85 during reunion scene

The Taiwanese drama series ‘Tofu Mama’ achieved significant viewership success, with its recent episode reaching a peak one-minute rating of 3.85 and an average rating of 3.5, attracting over one million viewers.

The high ratings followed a pivotal scene in which the character Li Zhen-ni, played by Li Zhi-qin, finally identifies her biological son, Lei Wei-fan, played by Huang Shang-he. Li Zhi-qin described the filming process as physically and mentally exhausting due to sleep deprivation and the pressure of performing heavy emotional scenes back-to-back.

Actor Huang Shang-he noted that his recent experience as a father helped him portray the character’s longing for a mother. Both actors praised each other's professionalism during the production. Li Zhi-qin also shared that the scenes involving betrayal by a close friend were particularly difficult to film, as they resonated with her personal experiences.
