Togo expands Universal Health Insurance access with new offices in Lomé

The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) and the National Health Insurance Institute (INAM) have opened eight new local offices in the Grand Lomé region of Togo to support the Universal Health Insurance (AMU) scheme. These offices are located within various health facilities, including the Dogta Lafiè Level 4 Reference Hospital and several Medical-Social Centers (CMS) in Adétikopé, Ségbé, Adidogomé, Djidjolé, Agoè Démakpoé, Agoè, and Baguida.

The initiative aims to bring administrative services closer to patients at the point of care, reducing travel and simplifying procedures. Insured individuals can use these offices to obtain information on benefits, submit documents, file complaints, and manage formalities related to prior agreements or the treatment of chronic pathologies. This expansion follows recent efforts to digitalize services and harmonize care packages under the AMU system, which has been in effect since January 1, 2024, to protect populations from financial risks associated with healthcare.
