Togo hosts 2026 Certificat de fin d’apprentissage exams

Approximately 50,615 candidates in Togo are participating in the 2026 session of the Certificat de fin d’apprentissage (CFA). The examinations, which began in late August and run through September 5, cover 61 different specialties across the national territory.

Women represent a significant portion of the participants, with 35,185 female candidates, accounting for nearly seven out of every ten applicants. Popular specialties include women's dressmaking, which has 11,600 enrollees, followed by modern braided hairdressing and soft dressmaking.

Other evaluated trades include carpentry, masonry, tapestry, decoration, mechanics, electricity, and cooking. The CFA serves as a formal validation of skills acquired during apprenticeship, facilitating professional integration and entrepreneurship. In Togo, the artisanal sector is a vital economic driver, representing approximately 18% of the national GDP.
