Togo launches climate action tools and prepares for COP31

Togo has launched three new initiatives designed to strengthen private sector engagement in climate action. These tools, introduced in Lomé on August 20, 2026, include a Green and Climate Booklet for economic operators, an integrated climate action communication plan, and a digital Togolese climate and investment information platform. The project is part of the NAP Readiness initiative, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) with technical support from the FAO.

In parallel, the Togolese government is developing a roadmap for its participation in the COP31 climate conference, which will be held in Antalya, Turkey, in November 2026. The strategy focuses on defining a national position, conducting climate negotiations, and mobilizing financing to support national climate priorities.
