Togo launches World Bank project review days

Togo has launched open house days to review the performance of the World Bank's portfolio within the country. Presided over by Prime Minister Komi Selom Klassou, the event aims to present the results of eleven national projects active as of May 31, 2018.

The projects focus on three strategic axes, including private sector performance and the creation of decent jobs through an improved business climate. As part of these efforts, the Office Togolais des Recettes (OTR) has implemented several initiatives, such as expanding tele-declaration for medium-sized enterprises, enabling mobile payments for SMEs, and reducing corporate tax to 28%. Other reforms include the digitization of land titles and efforts to accelerate customs clearance operations.
