Togo provides financial support to ASCK and ASKO for CAF competitions

The Togolese government has increased financial support for national football clubs participating in CAF interclub competitions. Both the reigning champion, ASCK, and the runner-up, ASKO, have each received 15 million FCFA to assist with logistics and travel expenses for their continental campaigns.

ASCK is set to face Côte d'Ivoire's ASEC Mimosas in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. This matchup serves as a potential rematch for the Kara-based club, which was eliminated by ASEC two years ago in the CAF Cup. To prepare for this challenge, ASCK has significantly overhauled its squad with nine new players and enters the competition following a strong preseason performance.

Meanwhile, ASKO will compete in the CAF Champions League, facing AS ZAM of Niger in their opening fixture.
