Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga resumes serialization

The manga series ‘Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun’ has resumed serialization in the September issue of Monthly GFantasy, released in Japan on August 18. The series had been on hiatus for approximately 10 months since its last release in November 2025.

The hiatus was due to the creator, AidaIro, undergoing unspecified medical treatment. To mark the return, AidaIro shared a special illustration on their official Twitter account to thank fans for their continued support.

Originally serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy since June 2014, the series has been collected into 25 tankōbon volumes. The franchise includes a two-volume spin-off, ‘After-School Hanako-kun’, and has seen multiple anime adaptations produced by studio Lerche, as well as a stage musical.
