Tokat farmer seeks redress over recurring new tractor failures
Dursun Koçak, a farmer in the Pazar district of Tokat, is seeking redress after a new tractor he purchased for 1.75 million TL repeatedly failed. Despite being a zero-kilometer vehicle purchased in February, the tractor has reportedly broken down five times within six months.
According to Koçak, the issues began during the first week of use. Although the vehicle was sent to an authorized service center under warranty, the problems—which reportedly included issues with the filter, gas system, and the vehicle's computer—have not been permanently resolved. The frequent breakdowns and subsequent time spent in repair shops have disrupted his agricultural work during critical seasons, leading to both financial and temporal losses.
