Tokat Governor inspects Sebastopolis Ancient City excavations

Tokat Governor Abdullah Köklü visited the Sebastopolis Ancient City in the Sulusaray district to inspect ongoing archaeological activities. During the visit, Köklü also toured the local Stone Works and Mosaic Museum.

Prof. Dr. Davut Yiğitpaşa, the head of the excavations, provided detailed reports on the current status of the site, including recent historical findings and ongoing projects. The visit focused on the preservation of cultural heritage and strategies to transform the area into a significant center for history enthusiasts and tourists.
