Tokat teachers develop digital twins and VR content using Unreal Engine
Teachers in Tokat have completed a specialized training program focused on developing digital twins and Virtual Reality (VR) content using Unreal Engine. The 'Producing Teachers: Developing Digital Twin and VR Content with Unreal Engine' project was implemented under the Middle Black Sea Development Agency (OKA) Social Development and Entrepreneurship Technical Support Program.
During the 60-hour theoretical and practical training held in September, 20 teachers and 4 students learned to use the Unreal Engine interface, scene design, lighting principles, and the Blueprint visual programming language. As a practical outcome of the program, participants successfully created a digital twin of a sample chemical plant.
The initiative, led by the Tokat Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, aimed to enhance digital production capacity in vocational education through Extended Reality (XR) and immersive technologies.
