Tokenized stocks reach $20.9 billion in 30-day DEX volume

Tokenized stocks recorded $20.9 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) volume over a trailing 30-day period. Uniswap emerged as a primary driver of this activity, accounting for approximately $12.6 billion, or 60.1% of the total volume. Specifically, Uniswap v4 represented 40.7% of the volume, while Uniswap v3 accounted for 19.4%.

These blockchain-based instruments track or represent exposure to traditional shares and are increasingly utilized in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, such as providing collateral for stablecoin loans. To facilitate regulated trading, Uniswap introduced Permissioned Pools in July 2026, allowing approved wallets to trade regulated assets through v4 pools.

In a separate development, Backpack CEO Armani Ferrante announced plans to expand tokenized stock access on the Solana blockchain. The company aims to grow its offering from approximately 200 symbols to 10,000 through an API designed to connect brokerage accounts with DeFi infrastructure.
