TOKİ completes 1,505 schools and 31,782 classrooms in Turkey
The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) has completed the construction of 1,505 schools, providing a total of 31,782 classrooms across the country. These projects are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen educational infrastructure in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
In addition to schools, TOKİ has delivered 220 dormitories and pensions with a capacity for 87,770 students across 26 universities, 47 libraries, and 999 sports halls. The total number of social facilities completed, including educational structures, has reached 70,942.
The school construction includes 105 nurseries with 404 classrooms, 935 primary schools with 20,693 classrooms, and 465 high schools with 10,685 classrooms. These facilities are designed with earthquake resistance and regional architectural styles in mind to improve student environments and reduce classroom density.
