Tokyo and Saitama launch initiatives to promote public bath and sauna experiences

Tokyo and Saitama are introducing new programs to encourage the use of public baths and saunas. In Tokyo, the metropolitan government and the Tokyo Public Bath Association are launching the “Youth Sento Experience Campaign” starting November 4. Aimed at addressing digital fatigue among younger generations, the campaign offers a “Tokyo Sento U29 Discount” where individuals aged 29 and under can access participating public baths for 300 yen per visit. Coupons will be available via QR codes at public facilities and universities.

In Saitama Prefecture, the outdoor resort COMORIVER has announced a seasonal promotion running from November 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Visitors using the facility's day-trip saunas will receive free admission tickets to the Tamagawa Onsen, a retro-style hot spring located nearby. The resort features various wood-fired sauna options, including private igloo saunas and public group areas.
