Tokyo business updates: AI tool pricing and office market trends

Commerce Robotics has announced a new starter plan for its AI-driven inquiry response tool, Fastdesk. For contracts signed by December 31, 2026, the monthly fee will be set at 20,000 yen (excluding tax) for both external and internal use. This pricing remains fixed for the duration of the contract. The tool automates initial responses to customer and employee inquiries by learning from existing FAQs, manuals, and internal regulations.

Separately, a market report from Vortex Co., Ltd. regarding small to medium-sized offices in five central Tokyo wards shows rising average rental prices per tsubo. Between September 2025 and August 2026, average prices increased across all five wards, with Chiyoda Ward seeing the highest rise of 18.8%. While vacancy rates decreased in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Chuo, and Minato, the report notes that price increases are largely driven by a turnover in available listings rather than uniform rent hikes.
