Tokyo Disney Resort to End Free FastPass, Move Classic Rides to Paid Premier Access

The Oriental Land Company (OLC), operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, announced that the free "Priority Pass" system will be retired after August 31 2026. Starting September 1 2026 the resort will expand its paid Disney Premier Access service, placing many classic attractions behind a per‑ride fee. The move follows OLC’s first‑quarter fiscal report on July 30 2026, which highlighted record cash flow and profit and cited revenue growth as a key priority.

Classic rides slated for the paid model include Big Thunder Mountain, Pooh’s Hunny Hunt, Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!, Haunted Mansion at Tokyo Disneyland, and Raging Spirits and Indiana Jones Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea, with fees ranging from ¥1,000 to ¥1,500 per ride. A new stage show in Tomorrowland will also be offered via Premier Access for ¥2,500. The change ends the last free line‑skipping option worldwide, aligning Tokyo’s parks with Disney’s paid Lightning Lane system used in the United States and Europe.
