Tokyo Disneyland to close Cinderella Castle attractions
Tokyo Disneyland is preparing for the closure of two major attractions at Cinderella Castle. The nighttime spectacular ‘Reach for the Stars’ is scheduled to end permanently after September 14, 2026. The roughly 20-minute production utilizes projection mapping, lighting, and pyrotechnics to feature various Disney and Pixar characters, including the first appearance of Marvel characters like Iron Man and Captain Marvel in a Tokyo Disney Resort production.
Additionally, the Cinderella’s Fairy Tale Hall attraction is set to close on October 1, 2026, with September 30 serving as its final confirmed operating day. The self-guided walkthrough, which opened in 2011, features rooms inspired by the 1950 film ‘Cinderella,’ including dioramas and a recreation of the glass slipper. Disney has not yet announced a reopening date or provided specific reasons for the closure.
