Tokyo DisneySea marks 25th anniversary with commemorative history book

Tokyo DisneySea has reached its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century since its grand opening in 2001. While no formal opening ceremony was held on the anniversary date due to the earlier commencement of the ‘Sparkling Jubilee’ anniversary events, various commemorative activities are underway, including a stamp rally on the Disney Resort Line monorail.

To commemorate the milestone, Kodansha has released ‘Tokyo DisneySea Chronicle 25 Years History’. The publication features a detailed report on the 25th-anniversary celebrations, including the ‘Dance the Globe!’ stage show and ‘Sparkling Jubilee Night’. The book also includes an interview with Wataru Takahashi, the president of Oriental Land Co., Ltd., regarding the future of the park, as well as historical looks at anniversary costumes, performer history, and the development of Fantasy Springs.
