Tokyo DisneySea Tower of Terror scheduled for temporary closure

The Tower of Terror attraction at Tokyo DisneySea is scheduled for a temporary closure beginning September 28, 2026. The ride is expected to reopen on November 6, 2026, resulting in a shutdown lasting approximately five weeks.

The short duration of the closure suggests the attraction is undergoing routine refurbishment rather than a permanent retheme or major overhaul. Unlike the version at Disney California Adventure, which closed permanently in 2017 to be replaced by a different attraction, there is currently no indication that the Tokyo version will be replaced.

Tokyo Disney Resort is owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company under license from The Walt Disney Company. While the original attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios utilizes 'The Twilight Zone' branding, the Tokyo DisneySea version uses an original Disney story.
