Tokyo Dome City to host Ao Oni VR horror attraction in 2026

Dynamo Amusement has announced that the free-roam VR attraction ‘Ao Oni VR: Blueberry Mass Production Plan’ will be held at Tokyo Dome City’s Geopolis B1 starting October 23, 2026. This limited-time event is part of the ‘Ao Oni Festival: Blueberry Festival,’ which will feature original collaboration tickets, character greetings, and mini-games.

The attraction is the first location-based VR experience for the ‘Ao Oni’ series, which has surpassed 34 million cumulative downloads across various platforms. In the VR experience, players wear goggles and walk freely through a space, attempting to collect specific drinks while avoiding the titular ‘Ao Oni’ character. The experience supports cooperative play for up to 20 people, and the ending changes based on the number of drinks collected.

Following its debut at Tokyo Tower, the attraction has been held in locations such as Canal City Hakata and Tobu Zoological Park, with upcoming dates scheduled for Shizuoka.
