Tokyo Electron and Nvidia expand AI and robotics collaboration
Tokyo Electron (TEL) is expanding its collaboration with Nvidia to integrate agentic AI and robotics into its “Epsira” digital transformation concept. The partnership utilizes the Nvidia Agent Toolkit, including Nvidia NeMo, Nvidia NIM, and Nvidia NemoClaw blueprints, alongside the Nvidia Isaac open robot development platform.
By leveraging the Isaac platform, TEL can integrate designs into digital twins within Nvidia Omniverse simulation libraries. This approach aims to accelerate robot training and improve accuracy, particularly for maintenance tasks involving various tool configurations. Additionally, the NeMo solution will assist in the training, tuning, and evaluation of AI agents, while NemoClaw will facilitate more secure deployment.
The Epsira program is designed to boost customer productivity by improving production efficiency, increasing yields, and enhancing equipment availability. The goal is to reduce both scheduled and unscheduled downtime through AI-driven troubleshooting and robotic maintenance.
