Tokyo Forum 2026 to address AI, human intelligence, and civilization

The Tokyo Forum 2026, titled “AI as a Transformative Technology: Human, Intelligence, and Civilization,” will be held on November 20 and 21 at the University of Tokyo’s Hongo Campus. Co-hosted by the University of Tokyo and the Choi Jong-hyun Academic Institute, the event focuses on the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into society.

A central theme of the forum is the role of universities and the development of human resources in the AI era. Business and academic leaders from Japan and South Korea will participate in sessions to discuss the skills required to navigate a changing society and how to foster talent capable of collaborating with diverse others. The forum aims to explore potential cooperation between Japan and South Korea regarding education and industrial needs in the age of AI.
