Tokyo Game Show 2026 to host record 1,138 exhibitors

Tokyo Game Show 2026 is set to take place at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21. The event will be the longest in the show's history, spanning five days. According to the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), the exhibition will feature a record-breaking 1,138 companies, including 540 domestic and 598 international exhibitors representing 53 countries and regions.

Numerous major gaming companies have announced their participation and specific programs. Capcom will showcase titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds and Resident Evil remakes for Nintendo Switch 2, alongside an Ace Attorney series presentation. D3 Publisher will feature the Earth Defense Force series, and Netmarble will host stages for Shangri-La Frontier, Solo Leveling: Karma, and Pearl in Blue. IO Interactive will provide playable demos of 007 First Light for Nintendo Switch 2. Other exhibitors include Sega, Koei Tecmo, Asobism, and Edia, covering a wide range of genres from action and RPGs to retro collections and sandbox games.
