Tokyo Game Show 2026 showcases MIRESI and Shangri-La Frontier

At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Smilegate Megaport showcased the upcoming time-travel RPG ‘MIRESI: Invisible Future’. Developed by CONTROL9, a studio founded by key members of ‘Goddess of Victory: NIKKE’ and ‘Seven Knights 2’, the game features high-fidelity 3D character models. Art Director Hyulla noted that the studio aims to establish a brand through visual quality, utilizing approximately 100,000 polygons and 230 bones per character to achieve immersive detail.

Additionally, Netmarble Nexus presented ‘Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species’ at the event. The Switch-battle RPG, based on the original series, allows players to hunt unique monsters. The presentation included a live gameplay demonstration by popular cosplayer Enako, highlighting the game’s strategic combat and character switching mechanics.
