Tokyo hosts various cultural and seasonal events in late October

Tokyo will host several major cultural and seasonal events from late October through early November 2026. The Roppongi Art Night, modeled after international “Nuit Blanche” festivals, returns with an all-night core period running from 5 p.m. on October 31 to 6 a.m. on November 1. Entry to the event is free, though specific museum exhibitions may require admission.

Other scheduled activities include the Meiji Shrine Autumn Grand Festival, which features traditional performing arts and horseback archery from November 1 to November 3. Additionally, the Asakusa Culture & Lights event at Sensō-ji will feature free projection mapping on the temple’s main hall and Hōzōmon gate from October 30 to November 3. The city will also observe Halloween festivities, including local club events and street celebrations.
