Tokyo Polytechnic University and Fotoskolan STHLM launch joint photography project

Students from Tokyo Polytechnic University and Sweden’s Fotoskolan STHLM are conducting an international collaborative photography project titled ‘International Joint Project 2026’. The initiative involves joint exhibitions and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

The first phase, titled ‘SHOWCASE’, is held in Stockholm from August 25 to September 8, 2026. During this period, 11 students from Tokyo Polytechnic University are staying in Stockholm to participate in workshops and visit institutions such as Fotografiska, the Moderna Museet, and the Hasselblad Foundation in Gothenburg.

The second phase, titled ‘Daily Life’, will take place in Japan from October 26 to November 7, 2026, at the Tokyo Polytechnic University Nakano Campus. This exhibition will run alongside a solo exhibition by Swedish photographer Marta Thisner. The project aims to allow students to explore different photographic cultures and educational environments through direct interaction and site visits.
