TOKYO PROTOTYPE exhibition presents future tech and 2045 profession concepts
The TOKYO PROTOTYPE exhibition, held at Toranomon Hills, brought together creators, researchers and companies showcasing cutting‑edge prototypes. Highlights included the ZZZN Sleep Apparel System, a portable, data‑driven sleep environment, and Postrace, a mannequin robot that mirrors a visitor’s movements to display clothing realistically. The event also marked the debut of ZOZO NEXT’s “yobiiro” line, offering pre‑order vases and coasters.
A parallel show, the "0次開発プロジェクト vol. 1 まだ存在しない未来の職業展 2045" at THE LINKPILLAR 2, was organized by Okamura Corporation with creative direction from Connel. It featured more than 50 speculative future occupations, such as “digital heritage manager,” “beauty‑microbiome artisan,” and “space‑habitation product designer,” and allowed visitors to experience prototypes for two of these roles. Both exhibitions explored how emerging technology may reshape daily life and work in the coming decades.
