Tokyo teacher arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with former student

Takuma Yamada, a 31-year-old teacher at Tokyo Metropolitan Kodaira Minami High School, has been arrested on suspicion of non-consensual sexual acts involving a former student.

The incident reportedly occurred on March 29 between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The victim, a female student who had recently graduated, visited the staff room to greet former teachers. Yamada allegedly lured her to an English preparation room under the pretext of career counseling. Once alone, he reportedly touched her upper body, claiming he was providing a massage due to her poor posture.

Yamada has denied the allegations, stating that while he touched her, he had no lewd intentions and meant it only as a massage. The victim did not report the incident to her parents until mid-June, citing difficulty in believing a trusted teacher could commit such acts.
