Tokyo to host seminar on generative AI for tourism management

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the second Tourism Management Strengthening Seminar & Business Exchange Meeting on October 8, 2026. The event focuses on utilizing generative AI as a solution to labor shortages within the tourism sector, including hotels, tourist facilities, and restaurants.

The seminar aims to help businesses improve productivity and service quality through AI and data integration. Haruki Odajima, President of Ebiyah Co., Ltd., will present practical methods for implementing AI based on successful management reforms at the long-established restaurant Ebiyah. The event includes a business briefing session and an exchange meeting for companies involved in AI-driven operational improvements.
