Tokyo to host Taiwanese night market festivals in 2026
Tokyo will host two major Taiwanese-themed cultural festivals in 2026, bringing the atmosphere of Taiwanese night markets to central urban parks.
From September 3 to September 6, 2026, the ‘Yataiwan Fes 2026’ will take place at Hibiya Park’s Nireno-ki Plaza. Co-hosted by APAMAN Co., Ltd., the event features sky lantern experiences, traditional night market games, and live performances. Attendees can enjoy authentic Taiwanese cuisine and rare draught Taiwan Beer.
Additionally, the ‘Taiwan Fa Festival 2026’ is scheduled for August 28 to August 30 at Ueno Park’s Takenodai Plaza. This free event focuses on traditional performing arts, including lion dances and acrobatics, alongside popular food items such as xiaolongbao, lu rou fan, and mango shaved ice. The festival aims to bring luck and prosperity to visitors, inspired by the Taiwanese term ‘Fa Cai’.
