Tokyo to host Tama hiking stamp rally starting October 2026

Yamakei-sha, in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, will launch the ‘Tokyo Tama Hike Stamp Rally’ from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The event utilizes the ‘YAMASTA’ mountain stamp rally app to encourage exploration of the Tama region's natural landscapes.

Participants can choose between two main routes: the ‘Tama 10 Peaks Panorama Course,’ which features views of Mount Fuji and the Tokyo skyline from ten different summits, and the ‘Okutama 3 Trail Course,’ which connects three distinct hiking paths including the Okutama Mukashi-michi, Tokei Trail, and Otama Walking Trail.

Completing the courses offers various rewards, including commemorative can badges and entries into a lottery for special pins. The first 300 people to complete the Okutama 3 Trail Course will receive a limited-edition ‘travel permit style’ can badge.
