Tokyo tower mansion fall results in death of 9-year-old boy

A 9-year-old elementary school boy has died after falling from a 23rd-floor balcony of a high-rise tower mansion in Harumi, Chuo City, Tokyo.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 1:00 PM on October 3, 2026. The child reportedly fell while attempting to move along the balcony to an adjacent room. He landed on the roof of a parking structure, which is approximately equivalent to the height of a second floor.

Emergency services transported the boy to a hospital, but his death was subsequently confirmed. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
