Tokyo urban waterways offer easy goby fishing with lure tackle

Lure fishing enthusiasts can enjoy goby fishing in Tokyo's urban waterways using standard lure tackle rather than specialized equipment. Staff from Lure Mag Plus demonstrated that light rods used for bass or ajing are sufficient for catching gobies in areas like the Sendaihori River in Koto Ward.

Despite unfavorable weather conditions, including light rain and unseasonably low temperatures, the fishing trip proved successful. The participants utilized various setups, including simple bottom rigs with bait such as scallops and sandworms, to catch gobies ranging from 10 to 15 centimeters in length.
