Tokyo wards host summer fireworks festivals in Katsushika and Edogawa

The Katsushika Ward will hold its 60th summer fireworks festival on July 28, 2026, featuring about 20,000 fireworks and a special drone show. Paid reserved-seat tickets, ranging from ¥5,000 to ¥30,000, will go on sale from June 22, 2026.

The Edogawa Ward’s 51st fireworks festival is scheduled for August 1, 2026, at the Edogawa riverside park. Highlights include music‑synchronized fireworks, a five‑second, 1,000‑shell opening display, and a high‑altitude finale titled “Gold‑coloured Finale.” The event runs from 19:15 to 20:20 and does not permit car or bicycle access.
