Tokyu Hands celebrates 50 years with nationwide anniversary sales and collaborations

Tokyu Hands marked its 50th anniversary on 7 August 2026 with a month‑long "50th Anniversary Festival" split into three phases. The first phase offered discounts and point‑up promotions on everyday items, the second introduced limited‑edition products and collaborations—including an "Ultra Hand" line with the Ultraman series and retro logo merchandise—and the third returned to value‑focused deals. The retailer, founded in 1976 in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, and now part of the Cainz Group, highlighted that it has welcomed over 1.2 billion visitors since its inception and posted its highest profit in 32 years for the fiscal year ending February 2025. Executive Sato Michinobu explained that more than 100 collaborative projects were planned, with many additional partners joining the celebration.
