Tokyu to launch Shibuya Snack Yokocho in December 2026

Tokyu Corporation and Tokyu Recreation Co., Ltd. have announced the launch of the ‘Shibuya Snack Yokocho Project’ in the Shibuya 2-chome area. Scheduled to open in early December 2026, the project aims to revitalize the local nighttime economy by transforming a temporary redevelopment site into a vibrant entertainment hub.

In collaboration with Online Snack Yokocho Bunka Co., Ltd., the initiative will feature four trailer houses designed to resemble traditional Japanese ‘snack bars.’ The project seeks to modernize this unique cultural element, making it accessible to diverse groups including office workers, tourists, Gen Z, and international visitors. By utilizing mobile trailer houses, the companies intend to create spaces for real-world communication and community connection while preparing for future large-scale redevelopment in the area.
