Toledo awards municipal nursery school management to KLC

The Toledo City Council has awarded the management of its municipal nursery schools to the local company KLC Idiomas y Formación Sociedad Limitada. The contract is valued at approximately 896,108 euros for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of an extension.

The decision was made during an extraordinary and urgent session of the Local Government Board to ensure the continuity of services for the upcoming September school term. This expedited procedure was activated following a legal appeal by the previous service provider against the standard bidding process.

Municipal spokesperson Juan José Alcalde stated that the administration acted with “maximum agility and within the established legal procedures” due to unforeseen circumstances. The new contract also includes provisions to recognize salary increases for workers in accordance with collective agreements, addressing a previous point of tension.
