Toledo Cathedral and Basilica of Guadalupe launch Jubilee Years

Major religious milestones are being observed in Spain and Mexico. In Toledo, Archbishop Francisco Cerro Chaves will preside over the opening of the Holy Door on October 25, marking the start of the Cathedral's first Jubilee Year. This celebration, which commemorates the 800th anniversary of the cathedral, will run until October 2027 and include various religious and cultural events.

In Mexico City, the Basilica of Guadalupe has commenced the Guadalupan Jubilee Year, running until October 2027. Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes presided over the opening of the Holy Door and the Misa de las Rosas. The jubilee commemorates the 50th anniversary of the dedication of the new basilica and offers plenary indulgences to pilgrims.

In Alcázar de San Juan, the Railway Brotherhood (Hermandad Ferroviaria) has announced a new leadership board and plans to introduce a new float for the Holy Thursday procession to attract younger members to the organization.
