Toledo hosts the XXXVI Congress of State Tax Inspectors

More than 650 State Tax Inspectors from across Spain will gather at the Palacio de Congresos in Toledo on October 29 and 30 for the XXXVI Congress of the Association of State Tax Inspectors (IHE). Under the theme “Taxes: where do our resources go? The value of the public and tax compliance,” the event will focus on the future of the fiscal system, public trust in institutions, and tax pedagogy.

The inaugural session is expected to feature Minister of Finance Arcadi España, Secretary of State for Finance Jesús Gascón, and IHE President Ana de la Herrán. This marks the first time a Minister of Finance has attended the congress since 2019.

The two-day program includes three roundtables and an interview featuring academic experts, tax advisors, and high-ranking administration officials. Representatives from professional associations in Spain, Portugal, and Brazil are also expected to participate.
