Tolentino infrastructure: via del Commercio underpass reopens and Fosso Pace cleaning begins

Local infrastructure and maintenance projects are underway in the Tolentino area. The via del Commercio underpass is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, August 13, following the construction of a new roundabout at the junction connecting Castagneti and Monticelli. This project aims to improve traffic flow from via del Commercio, Monticelli, and Piceno Aprutina. While the roundabout is complete, work on the connecting bridge continues, which will eventually include dedicated pedestrian and cycling paths.

Separately, cleaning operations for Fosso Pace are set to begin on Monday, August 24, weather permitting. The Sclavi administration has allocated €57,096 for the project, awarding the mowing and cleaning contract to the local company Verde Più. The work will cover areas from the Sant’Egidio district to via Nenni, including the central zone of Parco Pace, addressing long-standing resident concerns regarding overgrowth and sanitation.
