Tolerance-themed community projects held in Wiesbaden and Lüneburg
Various community initiatives focused on the theme of tolerance are taking place in Germany. In Wiesbaden, the “365 Grad Toleranz” series features a diverse program including “Journalistenkanzeln,” where journalists deliver sermons, and several lecture events. Speakers include former Bremen Mayor Henning Scherf and various academics and journalists discussing topics such as Islam, the Reformation, and European discourse.
In Lüneburg, the Humanist Association of Lower Saxony organized the “PlakatWAND Toleranz” art project. Participants created a colorful poster wall with messages such as “Democracy is colorful” to promote intercultural and worldview tolerance. The project aims to combat racism, discrimination, and antisemitism through social responsibility and will be exhibited at the VHS REGION Lüneburg until November 13, 2026.
