Tolfa prepares for XVII Drappo dei Comuni equestrian festivities

The town of Tolfa is preparing for its annual equestrian festivities, which include the XVII Drappo dei Comuni and the VIII Drappo dei Rioni. The week of celebrations, held in conjunction with the feast of patron saint Sant’Egidio, began with a gala dinner attended by local officials and representatives from various municipalities in the Metropolitan City of Rome and the Province of Viterbo.

The events feature competitions such as the ring game and horse races on dirt tracks. Participants include seven local districts and 12 surrounding municipalities. The festivities also include musical performances, firework displays, and a tribute by the Butteri del Conte, who performed fire games in memory of victims of femicide.
