Tolhuin and Corrientes host Independence Day music festivals
The city of Tolhuin will mark Argentina's Independence Day on July 9 with a free evening "Peña de la Independencia" at the Polideportivo Ezequiel Rivero. The program includes live music, dance, local food stalls and participation from regional artists and entrepreneurs, aiming to foster community well‑being and economic activity.
In Corrientes, the trio Tupá will present a free outdoor show titled "Corrientes es historia" at La Unidad, featuring chamamé music that recounts key moments of the province’s role in the 1816 independence movement. The event also includes a performance by the Prison Service Band and is intended for families and the wider public.
