Tolhuin gas plant maintenance completed by DPE

The Dirección Provincial de Energía (DPE) has completed the first stage of maintenance at the Tolhuin gas plant. Specialized technical personnel performed integral maintenance on a high-pressure valve, which had previously been out of service. This work has restored both high-pressure valves to operational status.

These valves are critical for the city's electricity generation system, as they reduce gas pressure from the pipeline from 70 kg/cm² to the 13 kg/cm² required by the generation engines. The maintenance was conducted without interrupting the city's electricity supply by working on one branch while the other remained operational.

The intervention aims to stabilize plant operations and mitigate recent issues caused by low gas pressure. A second stage of maintenance is planned for the low-pressure valve system, which reduces pressure from 7 kg/cm² to 1.5 kg/cm², once the necessary spare parts kit is received.
